Ariana (GR) Hop Pellets

From the Hop Research Center in Hüll, Germany, Ariana was developed from a cross breeding of Herkules and an unspecified wild male hop. High alpha acid content for bittering, but works very well for aroma additions. Notes of sweet fruit, citrus, and berries.

Alpha Acids: 10.0 – 13.0%
Beta Acids: 4.5 – 6.0%
Alpha-Beta Ratio: 1.66 – 2.88
Cohumulone: (% of alpha acids): 40 – 42%
Total Oils in mls per 100 grams dried: 1.6 – 2.4

Usage: Aroma. Although high enough in alpha acids to handle bittering duty, Ariana’s oil content and organoleptic profile make it a great finishing hop.

Aroma & Flavor Characteristics: Fruity, with intense berry character of black currant and gooseberry. Citrus high notes (particularly grapefruit) with slight resinous and herbal tones.
